Air Experience Flying Accident | Thu 12th Feb 2009 |
The thoughts and prayers of everyone on 340 Squadron go out to the families and friends of the two ATC cadets and their instructors who were killed when the Grob Tutor aircraft in which they were flying, collided mid-air and fell to earth in South Wales yesterday.
They were:
Nikkita Walters (aged 13) Katie-Jo Davies (aged 14) Flying Officer Hylton Price Flight Lieutenant Andrew Marsh
The Air Cadet Organisation and Royal Air Force are close families and although we did not know those who were killed, they were all nonetheless 'one of us' and we stand shoulder to shoulder with their loved ones at this very sad time.
Four candles were lit in their memory this morning at the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul in Edenbridge, and a four minute silence will be observed during the Squadron parade this evening.
Stand easy guys, and may you rest in peace. | Back to news
